CostOfWar.com: For the cost to date of the war in Iraq, 1,216,246 additional four-year scholarships at public universities could be provided.
Just where would these scholarships be used? In the United States? Private university tuition for a *single* year of undergraduate studies now costs as much as $40,000 US dollars per year (such as Stanford and one or two of the top Ivies; and less selective Ivies like Dartmouth and Brown are just about as expensive.) But since these schools are mostly for richer people in the richest country on earth, you must be referring to scholarships for less privileged people. As if oil wealth did not help make America's rich kids' lives so plush to begin with - at least they get to pretend to be opposed to the creation of the wealth they have spent upon their darling selves!
